While the standard SE8 module focuses on EM and HID® Prox, the SE8M is a “Multi-technology” variant designed to handle a wider array of legacy proximity protocols. This makes it the definitive tool for facilities management and security integrators tasked with consolidating diverse, older badge populations into a single, unified access control system.

When integrated with an Architect® Blue reader, the SE8M allows for a “triple-technology” approach: legacy 125 kHz proximity, modern 13.56 MHz smart cards (MIFARE® DESFire® EV3), and Bluetooth® / NFC mobile credentials. This enables a seamless, non-disruptive migration path, allowing the hardware to be modernized without forcing a site-wide re-badging event.
